// About
From the book Natural Born Heroes, "...a human connection who helps turn the spigot on the power of compassion. Empathy, the Greeks believed, was a source of strength, not softness; the more you recognized yourself in others and connected with their distress, the more endurance, wisdom, cunning, and determination you could tap into."
Ever since I can remember, I've been drawn to stories—whether in books, films, or personal experiences—that feature central figures overcoming significant obstacles. I love the emotional connection that naturally emerges from these situations.
Later in life, I realized I possess a deep sense of empathy and, even further down the path, discovered I am a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). Some might view this as a limitation, but I’ve come to understand that, in my UX journey, it’s a tremendous strength. My sensitivity allows me to remain consistently attuned to the user’s journey while keeping the problem that needs to be solved at the forefront of my design process.
I am now transitioning my experience as a Visual Designer and the skills I acquired from the UX/UI Bootcamp at Denver University into the field of User Experience and User Interface Design. It’s not just about having creative and technical skills; I’ve learned that collaborating with teams while taking ownership of my responsibilities is essential. This balance not only enhances group brainstorming but also ensures that solutions are aligned with business objectives, driving both user satisfaction and organizational success. By integrating empathy with a strategic focus, I continually strive to create designs that are effective, user-centric, and deliver measurable value for the company.
